Pribor Accommodation in the Hotel u Freuda - Services : The town of Příbor, one of the oldest towns of north Moravia founded by Přemysl Otakar II in 1251, is situated at both of the Lubina river banks. Its three sides are lined with a beautiful scenery of the Beskydy foothill with a view of Štramberská trúba, Hukvaldy castle and renowned Radhošť. Sigmund Freud (1856-1939). The most prominent native of Příbor is an honorary citizen of the town, the depth psychologist, Sigmund Freud, whose house was a next door house of our hotel. S. F. was born in a family of a Jewish merchant on 6th May 1856. A catholic nanny and his young mother (he was her beloved first-born child) looked after him in Příbor. When he was four, his parents moved to Vienna where Freud spent most of his life. He had read medicine. His very first recognised teacher was the physiologist E. Brucke. His professional development was inspired a great deal by his residency at J. M. CharcotÔs in France in 1897, which made Freud regard mentally handicapped and their treatment in a different way. From the symptomatic and descriptive approach to the causal one, to try to understand mechanisms of mental disease and its therapy.
